Something about love…

The feeling of love is one of the most consuming and exciting experiences known to man. It operates a sort of ripple effect, and that is what makes it all the more beautiful. Where the release you might feel from buying a new watch, or lemme not be too shallow, from some sort of achievement is like a light bulb, the resplendence in your heart when cupid hits you is like the sun. And like the sun, it casts a beaming glow on any and everything around it.
I just finished watching a pass-me-the-tissue-oooh-i-am-feeling-so-mushy-heart-pacing-wheres-my-woman-super-cheasy-chick-flick. Oh, the name of the movie is 27 dresses, and it is 3:01am in the morning, dont ask me whats wrong! I especially love the part at the end where the girl spills her guts and tells super kevin that she “thinks she might be in love with him”, she steps of the stage, walks to him, and before she can finish chewing her tongue, cool kevin goes mortal kombat: “get over here!”. Well, the movie definitely had me seeing spurts of fireworks. When hollywood’s finest craft a compelling love story and pull it off in such a manner, it just makes you want to snuggle, doesnt it?

Trying to churn something intellectual out of this ramble, I quote H. L. Mencken where he said “love is the triumph of imagination over intelligence”. You see, logic and common sense do not belong in the same ball park as love, infact they are not even the same sport. This is what makes it all the more challenging and scaring for men folk. Its completely averse to our go-go-gadget-utilitarian-out look on life. Honestly, God has a sense of humour. Its like making a square peg and a round hole when what he was really after was a cone. Now how do we get that to work? dont ask me, search google there will definitely be a gazillion sites with people telling you how to make love work and live happily ever after… for $17.99. he he.
